Powerplaying:
Powerplaying is when you control someone else's character, as well as your own, without the other person's permission. This is the most common problem that occurs in RPG's. I'll give you an example, that are really easy to follow and understand.
Example:
Xanthus growled and lunged at Chrome, angrily tackling him to the ground. His claws flew at the Pallas Cat's face. The serval tom then grabbed Chrome by the scruff and made him fly across the room.
-------------
This is one example of powerplaying. Xanthus hurt Chrome really bad, without the consent of the other player. Maybe Chrome's player did not want her cat to get hurt? But Xanthus' player powerplayed, and controlled what happened next in the fight with Chrome.
A better way to put it would be:
Xanthus' player: Xanthus growled and lunged at Chrome, angrily trying to tackle him to the ground.
Chrome's player: Chrome was tackled to the ground by the large serval. He was pinned down, and couldn't get up.
Xanthus' player: Once Xanthus pinned Chrome down, he aimed a flurry of blows at Chrome, hoping at least some of them would hit the Pallas Cat.
Chrome's player: Chrome was hit by all of the blows that Xanthus had aimed at him. He was extremely weak and powerless to do anything.
Xanthus' player: The serval tom got off of Chrome and tried to grab Chrome's scruff. Xanthus hoped that he would win this fight.
Chrome's player: Chrome was exhausted, and he was grabbed by the larger cat.
Xanthus' player: Xanthus attempted to throw Chrome across the room. This was quite fun for Xanthus.
Chrome's player: Chrome was thrown very far by Xanthus.
I know this involves many posts, but that's just the way it went with this particular fight. And you can make the fight even more exciting for the other player if you involve some awesome fighting moves - with the other players' permission, of course. ^^
