Chrome had traveled a little ways from the place those cats called "Moonstone" when he came upon an old gnarled and twisted tree. The Pallas cat lied down lazily by the tree and inspected it's odd beauty. In a few moments he fell fast asleep.
"Hello," An odd voice spoke from behind the old cat.
Chrome, unaware that he was asleep, almost jumped out of his pelt at the sound of another voice, he was supposed to be alone. He spun around wildly, only to see air.
"I'm here." The voice echoed, next to the tree.
The tom turned around slowly and saw a cat standing in front of the tree he was inspecting. But this cat was different, it seemed like this cat was a ghost and it had a faint glow around it's paws. "Who ar- are yo- you?" He asked fearfully.
"I am your ancestor, along with the others." The ghostly cat meowed, swishing his tail around his paws.
"What others?" Chrome asked, curiosity pricking at his heart.
"Your ancestors." The mysterious cat meowed. "We have come to you with a message and a blessing."
"Really?" The tom asked happily. Why would anyone ever care about him?
"Yes. You are the future leader of the Tribe of Flashing Lightning, am I correct?" The car asked, even though he knew the answer.
"Yeah, I guess." Chrome answered in a queer way. He didn't really like to think of himself as a leader.
The ghostly cat nodded slowly and stood up. "Then, as the power invested in me and all of your ancestors, I grant you nine lives." He padded over to Chrome and touched his nose to Chrome's shoulder.
Chrome jumped as a shock of energy went through his whole body. He awoke with a start and blinked the shock from his eyes. That was all a dream? The tom asked himself, startled by the odd cat that had touched his shoulder.
"You have our blessings." The voice seemed to echo, as it faded away into thin air.
The tom felt a little light headed, but padded off towards the cave, which he found.
